Chef Meng is one of the few highest-ranking masters of Chinese cooking in China. He has been in his profession for 35 years, specializing in Szechuan cuisine. Representing China, he was invited to demonstrate Szechuan culinary arts in America, Lebanon, Egypt and Singapore in the 1980s and 90s. In 1993, he won the National Cookery Competition silver medal in Wok cooking and the bronze medal in Plates presentation. He is also a lifetime judge of the National Ranking chef test in the Szechuan Province.
Since 1999, Master chef Meng has been working in America. His last employment was with Sichuan Garden in Massachusetts, which was rated excellent for seven consecutive years by Zagat and rated 2.5 stars by Boston Globe.
