Szechuan Garden most recently won the most prestigious title "THE BEST CHINESE CUISINE" awarded by Salt Lake City Magazine and " TOP 100 RESTAURANT" award in a nationwide competition. 

 

Each year, Salt Lake City Magazine names one of the best restaurants in  every category of ethnic foods in Salt Lake.  Because it's such a prestigious award, the selection process takes months to finalize the candidates, and eventually select the best restaurant based on customer reviews and secret expert diners' critiques.  In April, Salt Lake Magazine featured the Szechuan Garden with Governor Huntsman highly praised remarks and announced it best Chinese restaurant in Sandy Utah! Sichuan Garden, as the name suggests, offers most authentic Sizhuan style food in Utah.

 

"Top 100" is a competition was hosted by Chinese Restaurant News which is the first and largest monthly publication designated to serve American-Chinese restaurants in the nation.  Hundreds of Chinese restaurants across the country participated in such an event. The contest sets rigid criteria which involves dinners’ reviews and votes in either local or national media, menu reviews, establishment of the restaurant, and anonymous gourmet visits and reviews.  An appointed panel of judges, composed of respected industry leaders and experts, reviewed and selected the final 100 winners through two rounds of scoring.  Szechuan Garden, due to its overall excellence, finally topped one of the 100 as a new but unique establishment. A trophy and a certificate will be presented to the owner Chef Meng in early November and a formal interview will follow by a food critique from the Chinese Restaurant News, which is expected to publish in December.
